This Saturday, 15 October, there are 7 Marines returning after their Afghanistan deployment - Arriving at OIA (Orlando Int'l Airport) and a “Welcome Home” gathering is being planned for them. These Marine Reservists are based from the local Reserve Center.
They are arriving in the afternoon, 1:55 PM Southwest Airlines – Terminal A (Airside 2, Gates 100-129) – the area nearest to the Starbucks
Come welcome these Marines home in a big way!
New option for greeting these warriors:
You can park in the Airport Parking facilities and pay the standard parking rate of $4 for up to 3 hours OR you can park for FREE at "Fast Park & Relax" located at 7870 N. Frontage Road, Orlando, FL 32812
It is the site located on Frontage Road about halfway between Tradeport Drive to the west and Semoran/436 to the east, on the curve on Frontage Road (within sight of the tollbooth located on the Beachline.) Shuttle buses will be provided to and from the airport. Arrive early and allow time. You will be dropped off at the standard shuttle site on Level 1 and take the escalators or elevators to Level 3. Proceed to Terminal A, Airside 2. After the event, return to the shuttle pick-up area on Level 1. (Tipping your drivers might be appreciated!)
Upon leaving the “Fast Park & Relax” you will tell the cashiers that you are there for the "Welcome Home Marines" event. This offer is good only on this Saturday, 15 October. Using this parking may be a little slower than using airport facility parking but it will save some $ and save stress of finding a parking space and getting to the terminal.
If you would kindly send me an RSVP of your intent to use this offer instead of Airport facility parking, I can give the management at "Fast Park & Relax" an approximate headcount. You may want to leave a “Thank you” comment note for them about their generosity with this arrangement for our returning military! And you will certainly consider this parking site for your future air travels, won’t you?!?
